We say goodbye to a bittersweet summer. We lost Pat but his passing reunited our family near and far, and there were plenty of celebrations and joyous moments to shine through our tears. "Laughter through tears is my favorite emotion..."

That's Bill on the left! It's been apparent Will favors him but Holy Moly! |

I took this photo two days after Pat's passing and I love it because it reminds of my favorite, Kidd Kraddick's, tag line: "Keep looking up, 'cause that's where it all is." |

Bill ran the Savage Race for the first time ever! Such a crowning moment, and not just for him. Bill was supposed to join two friends but we were ran late as always and he missed them and had to run in the next group. Will and I stood at the starting line next to him to see him off and cheer for him, and as he ran past us and away I felt sorta like a mom seeing her kid off on his first day on Kindergarten. I've watched Bill grow so much, since marrying him, since watching him become a daddy, since he started this physical (and mental) transformation (almost 50# gone!!), and I teared up feeling nervous for him and his safety, yet such enormous pride. I wanted to hold his hand until I was ready to let go (we were so rushed that morning), but like releasing something that's ready to fly, ready to run - I felt my heart go with him. My husband, my hero. |

I'm so glad we were there. Watching the kids together was wonderful. I can't thank YOU enough for everything. You're simply amazing, sis.
